Courage

Like most of my pieces, I found this dress form at a flea market last year and stored away in my office with plans to do something with it one day. And then that day came...I got bored and decided to decoupage it with pages from an old book. With no particular plans in mind, I just pasted the old paper to the form and set it aside to dry, for another couple of months.
As my collection of rusted things was growing out of control, I decided to do something with it all and this form looked to be a great base for some creativity. Rusted Princess Warrior! That's what I was going for!
With the enormous amount of bottle caps in my collection, the first idea I had was to create a sort of 'peacock' tail feather type cape. It took a while to glue each individual cap in place and allow to dry in proper position before adding the next.
Second most popular item in my collection=nails. I added a number of nails around the mid section of the form as a 'belt' of sorts that also looks like a belt of swords.
The opposite side of the form was decorated with aged nuts, bolts and twisted cogs.
